Antonio Vivaldi Prize (special prize)

If a contestant chooses to perform a work by Antonio Vivaldi during the competition, they will be automaticly considered for the Antonio Vivaldi Prize. This applies to each instrument and age category.

The jury can decide to divide the main prizes. In this case the cash prize money will be split among the winners of the same prize.

Concert opportunities for prize winners:

Solo performance with the WDR Funkhausorchester Köln

The concert will take place at Klaus-von-Bismarck-Hall, WDR Funkhaus in Cologne, in the season 2019/2020 with live broadcasting by WDR3. The jury reserves the right not to choose any of the prize winners, if the level of performance is artistically insufficient.

Solo performance with the Niederbayerische Philharmonie/Landestheater Passau

If the performance achieves a sufficient artistic level, an award winner - chosen by the jury - will receive an invitation to play a solo concert with the Niederbayerische Philhamonie/Landestheater Passau in the Saison 19/20

Concert Tour in China

AVICV will invite a few prize winners to take part in a concert tour in China in the season 2020/2021.  The main purpose of this concert tour is to assist aspiring young musicians in developing their future career. The Antonio Vivaldi International Competition Vienna will cover all the accommodation, food and travel costs of the tour.
